...shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you;not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock.  And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory. 1 Peter 5:2-4 (ESV)

What We Teach

We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, three persons, but one God in nature and essence.

We believe the Bible is completely true in its original writings.

We believe that God created the universe from nothing in six days and rested on the seventh.

We believe that God created man in His own image, and that this image has been disfigured by sin, and can only be repaired by God's supernatural intervention.

We believe in Christ' s atonement for the sins of men by his death on the cross thereby satisfying the wrath of God and appropriated by faith through grace without any works on our part.

We believe in the resurrection of Christ from the dead on the third day as proof that He will raise all the dead, the faithful to eternal life, and the unbelieving to eternal punishment.

We believe in the church, an assembly of all who been converted by the Holy Spirit and added to God's family.

We believe the purpose of the church is to glorify God by making disciples of His Son Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit.

We believe that Christ will return to claim His church and rule the world in righteousness.

Our Commitments

And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. Acts 2:42 (ESV)

Grace Church is continually depending on the Holy Spirit to enable us to  glorify God by worshipping His Son in our teaching, sharing, praying and remembering .   We therefore progressively commit to actively engage in 4 things on a continual basis.  They are:

    1.  Listen, read and practice His Words as found in the Bible.
    2.  Share His resurrected live with each other through fellowship and to the lost by evangelism.
    3.  Express our complete dependence by praying in His name.
    4.  Remember His death by practicing  ongoing repentance.

"They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." Acts 2:42

OUR ONLY FOUNDATION

We affirm the inerrant Scripture to be the sole source of written divine revelation, which alone can bind the conscience. The Bible alone teaches all that is necessary for our salvation from sin and is the standard by which all Christian behavior must be measured.

OUR ONLY MEDIATOR

We affirm that our salvation is accomplished by the mediatorial work of the historical Christ alone. His sinless life and substitutionary atonement alone are sufficient for our justification and reconciliation to the Father.

OUR ONLY METHOD

We affirm that in salvation we are rescued from God's wrath by his grace alone. It is the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit that brings us to Christ by releasing us from our bondage to sin and raising us from spiritual death to spiritual life.

OUR ONLY MEANS

We affirm that justification is by grace alone through faith alone because of Christ alone. In justification Christ's righteousness is imputed to us as the only possible satisfaction of God's perfect justice.

OUR ONLY AMBITION

We affirm that because salvation is of God and has been accomplished by God, it is for God's glory and that we must glorify him always. We must live our entire lives before the face of God, under the authority of God and for his glory alone.* Michael Horton**Extracted from THE CAMBRIDGE DECLARATION of the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals, April 20, 1996.

Our Affiliates

... because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. Philippians 1:5 (ESV)

Working together for the cause of Christ The Crossroads Fellowship is a group of churches in Indiana that have banded together to further the cause of Christ in the world. Our mission is to equip and encourage church leaders, to support and revitalize struggling churches and to network resources in order to influence the world with the gospel of Christ. We accomplish our mission through large group conferences and retreats, smaller group area fellowships, and pastor-to-pastor friendships.

Our Distinctives

Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will saveboth yourself and your hearers. I Timothy 4:16 (ESV)
