Thanks for visiting our site! We are a diverse group of people who are committed to glorifying God by exalting His Son Jesus Christ. We'd love to meet you in person, but in the meantime, enjoy getting to know more about us, visiting these few web pages. Here is some basic information that will help give you an idea of what to expect at Grace Church.
What are the services like?
Our typical services consist of worship through singing, prayer, scripture reading, preaching from the Bible, and giving (as our special guest, we do not expect you to give). We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of the month at the end of the worship service. Again, as our guest, you are not expected to participate, unless you have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Our music is primarily traditional hymns with a blend of some newer songs. Our emphasis is more on the content of the songs, instead of the style of music. Most services last 75 minutes.
What is the preaching like?
Preaching at Grace Church is expositional, meaning that it seeks to draw the original meaning out of the text of scripture, and apply it to our lives today. Sermons usually last around 45 minutes and strive to include an explanation of the text, exhortation, and application. On a regular basis, our sermon series alternates between the Old and New Testament books. All preaching is filtered through the Gospel, the Bible’s main message of God saving sinners through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
How does everyone dress?
You will see people dressed in jeans to suits(very few). Business-casual seems to be a popular style that many choose, but there is no dress code!
Where do my children go?
Your children are welcome to stay with you during the service, but other opportunities are available. We provide a nursery for newborns and we also have Children’s Church for children through third grade. The children participate in the first half of the worship service with their family and then go to their classroom with their teacher prior to the sermon.
